While Red Bull Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo celebrates podium finishes with his trademark shoey straight out of his sweaty racing boot, one thing you don't tend to see is a knighted actor jumping in on the action to rip one straight out of the other boot.

Sir Patrick Stewart, known for his role as Professor X in the X-Men franchise and portrayal of Captain Picard in Star Trek,  happily agreed to join Ricciardo in the tradition after the Canadian Grand Prix.

We applaud his efforts, as shoeys tend not to be the flashest way to scull a beverage when it comes out of your own shoe, let alone someone else's. Ricciardo seemed impressed though
